On arrival we found the entrance to the hotel rather austere and unwelcoming.Threadbare carpet throughout and sparsely furnished.Considering the season,a christmas tree in the entrance reception would have improved the atmosphere. However we were impressed with the room size. The bathroom was basic but very clean.The beds were very comfortable and the bed linen also.But again threadbare carpet managed to give it an austere feeling The carpet also badly stained . The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast room more pleasant . Unfortunately the bar was closed throughout our stay due to refurbishment. Nice hotel but needs a bit of a makeover

Top Tip

The Salm Brau 1 min walk away serves very good traditional Bavarian Food and Beer.Always packed but they will fit you in.

Friendly,helpful,efficient staff.Just a little far from centre of the city,but still within walking distance.

Vienna is full of wonderful places to see so fit in as much as you can!Food in most restaurants is very appetising.

Well placed hotel close to a railway station and no.71 tramline. Good for a quiet break.

the only down side was on the 2nd night, there was a noise like building work until about 2am, which made it extremely difficult to go to sleep...probably not the hotels fault though!
