The poorer rating for Facilities reflects the missing facilities that you don't need and don't pay for! Very friendly and helpful reception desk.

Top Tip

Stephansplatz is where it is at, & only 3 stops on the underground (line 1) from the hotel. Buy a 24hr ticket.

Excellent for direct train to&from airport.prater tube only few stops from main sights.lovely clean rooms/fresh tasty breakfast.veryhelpful staff in reception.reasonable price.pleasant bar .

Very convenient to airport train and underground. Evening meals would be an added bonus but there are many eating establishments nearby.

The hotel is on the outer limits of the city, not far from the Danube. The area isn't 'posh', but it felt safe and was well positioned for access via underground to the centre. Extremely clean hotel, our double room spacious, very quiet, beds comfortable, adjustable temperature in the room, hotel staff very helpful, good location for access to underground into Vienna city centre, on U1 red line. Continental breakfast - just the best selection. The only downsides were smoking, (as we're non-smokers!) which was permitted in the bar/lounge, and no tea/coffee facilities in the room. All reception staff were helpful, but Renata, was particularly friendly and took time out to assist us. We definitely want to return to Vienna, and would DEFINITELY go back to the Wilhelmshof Hotel.

Top Tip

The hotel can recommend all the local restaurants - based on this, we sampled a local Austrian, Italian and Chinese and all three were pretty good and reasonable, within a five - eight minute walk of the hotel. The nearest underground station is Prater (Praterstern Wien Nord) which four stops down, gets you into the beginning of the city centre - Karlsplatz - if you want more life, you'll have to go into town!
